CSPromod aims at competitive gaming which of course implies a high level of customization along with simple and clean menus. Through those option menus, we provide you with the ability to choose the settings with which you feel most comfortable.

Player tab

Here you will be able to change your in-game username and crosshair settings (among other things).

Player

• Name - Unlike other Orange Box games, CSPromod allows you to change your in-game username to whatever you want. Not just your "Steam Friends" name!
• Spraypaint Image - You can choose your "spray logo" (spraying in-game via 't' key by default) here or import a new one.
• Nationality - If you want to show your nationality as a flag in the scroreboard you can set it here.

Mouse

• Crosshair - This section lets you to customize your in-game crosshair. You can see its actual appearance with the live preview.
• Mouse Sensitivity - The essential setting to adjust your ingame sensitivity.

CSP tab

These options let you choose between CS 1.x and CS:S visual styles as well as brand-new CSP customization features.

HUD

• HUD Players Icons
  • Alive - Show alive player count only.
  • Both - Show both dead and alive players count.
  • OFF - Disable player icons.

• HUD Grenade Bar
  • ON - Show the grenade bar on the HUD.
  • OFF - Disable the grenade bar on the HUD.

• Center Target's Nickname
  • ON - Use centering targets nickname.
  • OFF - Disable centering targets nickname.

• Chat Text's Click Sound
  • ON - Enable CS:S message click sound.
  • OFF - Disable CS:S message click sound.

• CS 1.3 Death Notifications
  • ON - Use legacy CS 1.3 death notifications. (Black outline and no weapon shown when HS)
  • OFF - Use CS 1.6 death notifications.

• Green Kill Confirm Death Notice
  • ON - Use green as color for your own name in death notifications when killing someone.
  • OFF - Use only team colors in death notifications.

• HUD Style
  • Classic - Use classic monochrome orange style HUD.
  • Modern - Use modern HUD style.

• Buy Menu Style
  • Compact - Use compact text only menus.
  • Fancy - Use graphic buy menus.

Radar

• Show Radar
  • ON - Show radar.
  • OFF - Disable radar.

• Radar Style
  • Opaque - Use opaque radar.
  • Clear - Use clear radar. This option brings the possibility to show the map layer.

• Show Map (Clear Only)
  • ON - Show map layer on the radar.
  • OFF - Disable map layer.

• Show Teammates Nickname
  • ON - Show teammates' nicknames on the radar.
  • OFF - Disable showing teammates' nicknames on the radar.

Weapons

• AWP Crosshair Scope
  • CS 1.6 - Use replicated CS 1.6 crosshair scope.
  • CS:S - Use CS:S crosshair scope.

• Auto Weapon Pickup Switch
  • ON - Automatically switch to picked up weapon if more powerful.
  • OFF - Disable auto weapon pickup.

• Weapon Side Preference
  • Left - Hold all weapons on left side.
  • Right - Hold all weapons on right side.

• Switch Knife Hand
  • ON - Hold the knife in the opposite hand than the other weapons.
  • OFF - Hold the knife in the same hand as the other weapons.

• Weapon Models Origins (Angles)
  • CS 1.6 - Use replicated CS 1.6 weapon origins.
  • CS:S - Use CS:S weapon origins.

• Viewmodel Turn Interp (Lag)
  • CS 1.6 - Disable the weapon model's turn lag.
  • CS:S - Use the CS:S weapon model's turn lag.

• Fast Switch Style
  • CSP - Use CSP fast weapon switch. You can scroll through grenades without pressing +attack as well as your other weapons.
  • CS 1.6 - Use legacy CS 1.6 weapon switch. Equivalent to CS 1.6 hud_fastswitch 1.
  • OFF - Don't use fast weapon switch. Equivalent to CS 1.6 hud_fastswitch 0.

• Quake Style Instant Switch
  NOTE: This effect has only visual effect and doesn't affect weapon timings!
  • ON - Use Quake style instant weapon switch. Also known as HLTV-style weapon switch.
  • OFF - Use classic weapon switch.

Wall Impact Effects

• Bullet Impact Particle Type
  • None - Disable the impact particle effect.
  • CS 1.6 - Use CS 1.6 replicated effect.
  • CS:S - Use CS:S style effect.

• CS 1.6 Effect Color Type
  • Hybrid - Use hybrid of these two mentioned below.
  • Black - Use black smoke puff.
  • White - Use white smoke puff (similar to CS 1.6).

• Bullet Impact Sound Sound
  • None - Disable the impact sound effect.
  • CS 1.6 - Use CS 1.6 impact sound effect.
  • CS:S - Use CS:S impact sound effect.

Video tab

Options which are located in this tab affect the visuals and fps (frames per second) of the game. If you need to get higher fps/smoother gameplay it's recommended to change all of these settings to their "None" or "Low" values.
NOTE: In case you have not smooth gameplay or your mouse has noticable input lag you should check the fps. If the value of your fps oscillates around 60 you should switch the Vertical Sync to OFF. If it doesn't help you should also check the state of Vertical Synchronization feature in control center of your graphic card.

Audio tab

This tab is used to tune the audio settings. You can set the audio voulme, your HW audio configuration or the microphone attributes.
